{{AAType |Image=Nan Pong.jpg |Type=Person |Arts=Arts, Artists }} Born in Hong Kong, Nan Pong immigrated with his family to Canada at the age of 11. In 1994, Nan returned back to Hong Kong and entered La Salle College During this time, while Nan's parents were always working and and being the only child, Nan immersed himself in music. Nan played in several bands during his later teenage years, but everything changed when he heard the music of American pianist and singer Tori Amos, whom the musician attributes much of his influence. When he returned to Hong Kong at the start of the decade, he uploaded the songs he wrote on the internet and performed at night clubs and shopping centres. Catching the curiosity of Sony Music executives, Nan Pong was signed to a contract, only to wind up providing material for Canto-pop idols, writing hits for the likes of Jacky Cheung Hok-yau, Aaron Kwok Fu-shing, Miriam Yeung Chin-wah and Eason Chan Yik-shun.
