== Noteworthy == Alexa serves as the athlete representative to the International Ski Federation (FIS) and sits on the board of directors of AthletesCAN - the association of Canada's national team athletes. During the 2010 Olympics, she almost wasn't able to compete because sports Canada pulled her funding after they stated "that she had not shown the necessary improvement to receive an $18,000 stipend" because of a knee injury suffered in 2007. Kin's Farm Market, a local grocery chain decided to help raise the necessary funds and began to sell reusable bags with Looβs face on them for a $1 each. The fund raising endeavour was a success raising a total of $20 000 and allowing Alexa to compete in the Vancouver Olympics. Loo placed 12th in the parallel giant slalom, the best ever Olympic showing by a Canadian in the event [http://www.nwasianweekly.com/2010/03/canadian-grocers-help-olympian-realize-her-dreams/] '''Twitter:''' https://twitter.com/alexaloo {{From wp|http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexa_Loo}}
