==Shié Kasai== {{#widget:YouTube|id=3P0vwgU0zn4}} Shié Kasai is a visual artist born in Sapporo Japan, lives in Montréal since 1998. She holds a BA from Hokkaido University of Education in Sapporo and a MFA from Concordia University in Montréal. She majored in sculpture. Her site-specific installation projects reflect on her personal issues and everyday situations. For living she worked as a medical illustrator at McGill University from 2002 to 2015. She has presented exhibitions in Japan, the Netherlands, France, Finland and Canada. In 2010 her daughter was born. She is working on a graphic novel about parenting since 2012. Presentation: “Attends-moi!”, a graphic novel about being a mother in Montreal, raising a daughter who was born as a premature baby. Shié will speak about her experience of writing her first graphic novel project and using this familiar material to communicate with audiences. http://www.shiekasai.com/aux/manga/
