It started as a monthly with 24 black and white pages. Within two years, the paper made tremendous progress. It became biweekly with its pages increased to 32. Twenty five percent pages are now coloured. At the same time, Canadian Asian News extended network to Montreal where it has more than 50,000 readers. It has nearly 100,000 readers in Toronto and adjoining cities like Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Pickering etc. And when the paper went online, its readership increased manifold.
