'''Dr. Hargurdeep Saini''', also known as '''Deep Saini''', is a notable scientist and is a Vice-President of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Toronto University of Toronto].  Additionally, he is currently  also the principal of the University of Toronto's Mississauga campus. Prof Saini, was previously the dean of the Faculty of Environment at the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Waterloo University of Waterloo] in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterloo,_Ontario Waterloo, Ontario]. 

An alumnus of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punjab_Agricultural_University Punjab Agricultural University] in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludhiana Ludhiana], and later the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Adelaide University of Adelaide], [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Australia Australia], Saini joined many Indian-origin educationists holding high positions in Canadian universities. 

Saini began his academic career in [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canada Canada] in 1982 when he joined the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Alberta University of Alberta] as a post-doctoral fellow, has been the dean at the University of Waterloo since 2006.
