WeiZheng is a freelance illustrator, graphic designer and on occasion, painter, living in Ottawa. Although recently graduated from Alonquin’s three-year Graphic Design Program, she’s worked at her art now for over 20 years. (Illustration happens to be her favourite mode.) Both WeiZheng’s designs and illustrations show adept skills in watercolour, oils, acrylic, even traditional Chinese brush and ink. Toggling back and forth between Western and Asian styles, she enjoys a challenge, often lucidly incorporating both sensibilities. What great pleasure she takes in creating her dramatic Pop-inspired art!— and no wonder WeiZheng is becoming so well known as an artist of delightful imagination and mischievous humour.
