Add development items using a section [edit] link and they will be actively organized.

Design

Replace event box with info box
Remove calendar
Add an About section
More stylized and modern Main Page. Maybe smaller pictures that enlarge when you run your mouse over them.
If the facet map slows the site down too much, it should be discarded in favor of a high functioning website.

Would this format also allow for additional content (subjective, stories) to be added to our wiki, if so desired? Additional content (not from the wikipedia article), would not be updated.
If we decide on this route, would we have to wait for another week or so for this to be ready? We won't be meeting until end of next week, so I'm not sure whether you'd need to discuss with the designer before implementation.
Would this format also allow for the "info box" template? Most wikipedia articles have this template, however ours does not. The possibility of an info box has been brought up in initial meetings as well-whether we can make the AC wiki more like wikipedia articles to ease navigation.

Facet Map: links working?I go to Facet Map, then click “Montréal”. Sinha Danse link goes to (image) a page that says “There is currently no text for this page”

Uploading photos: picture uploads, but the page goes blank and I have to “go back” and then retype the jpeg name.
Simultaneous Update: Again, I’m not sure of the feasibility of this. Since much of our content comes from Wikipedia, to me it makes sense that as information is updated in Wikipedia, it should also update on the Asian Canadian Wikipedia.

-<br>R: In terms of website infrastructure, I find the way to create new wikis (via the template) is too burdensome for the general user.  Currently, they need to do a search on the wiki to see if there is an entry already created.  If not, they have to navigate back to the front page, click on Contribute on the side navigation bar, then scroll down to the area to enter the name of the wiki they want to enter, and then gain access to the wiki template.
-By far this has been the hardest part for people when I’ve encouraged them to use the wiki, and often times I have to give them a tutorial on how to contribute to the wiki, with them rapidly losing interest.

-As a suggestion, would it be possible to retain the template but cut out a few of the middle steps?  In my mind, when a users visits the page and does a search for a wiki that doesn’t exist on ACW (e.g. Han Solo) the page automatically brings them to a page that reads:

-When a user clicks on the link for Han Solo, it brings them to a blank wiki page (not the template) where the user would have to have a basic knowledge of wiki coding to create the new Han Solo wiki page.  Would it be possible to have the above link to the template instead?  Its very user friendly.  I think if we can do this, a user with no wiki experience can search a topic, see that the page is missing, and quickly create it using the template that is readily presented to them.
