M.J. Kang is a playwright and actress. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she later immigrated to Toronto, Canada.
Her plays include Noran Bang: The Yellow Room (Dora Award nomination for Outstanding New Play 1998), Blessings and dreams of blonde & blue. She performed in the Off-Broadway hit, Private Jokes, Public Places in New York, Los Angeles, London, and Toronto, and is reprising the same role (which was written for her and is semi-biographical) at The Aurora Theatre in Berkeley, California, running from April 6, 2007 through May 13, 2007. She is married to Oren Safdie.
