Irene Kuan is a journalist and editor based in Toronto. She is currently the Managing Editor at Metro News, and manages all digital Metro News media content across Canada. Before that, she spent five years as an online reporter and journalist at Thomson Reuters News Agency. She is a graduate of Ryerson's Journalism program.

Irene’s portfolio of publications reflects her extensive and diverse interests in tech, business, fashion, and social issues in the city. Her work has appeared in publications such as Metro News, Thomson Reuters, Globe Investor, and numerous others. Some of the highlights include a column about the rise of overt racism in Toronto published on the front page of Metro News in December 2016.  
 
 
She is a graduate of Ryerson University's School of Journalism.
