Aliza Vellani (born October 30, 1991) is a Canadian television actress, who played the role of Layla Siddiqui in Little Mosque on the Prairie.

She was born in Vancouver to Indian immigrants from East Africa. Vellani is a university student at Simon Fraser University, who has trained extensively in both acting and dancing, including with the Vancouver drama school Tarlington Training.<ref>Tarlington Training Success Stories. She attended York House School, Vancouver's number one ranking school academically in all of British Columbia</ref>

Aside from her first professional role on CBC's Little Mosque on the Prairie, she has also appeared in other shows and movies, such as Nickelodeon's The Troop and Disney's Geek Charming. In 2007 and 2008, Vellani won the BC and National Istar Awards for Arts and Culture.
