Wai-Yin has always worked in arts, culture, film and broadcasting since she graduated in Communications in Hong Kong and pursued French studies in France. Learning to speak different languages is her passion, she is particularly obsessed with grammar, spelling, subjunctive and gender of nouns, that's how she became a freelance Translator and Interpreter. Working as an Interpreter at the Health and Social Services of Montreal and teaching Chinese-Canadian Cantonese, she has accumulated a lot of thoughts and stories to share, this is how the idea of hosting a podcast emerged. Through the podcast, we'd like that the different realities and experiences of the Chinese community be heard. Reducing cultural misunderstandings and advocating for mutual comprehension and tolerance, firstly in Quebec, then extended to other societies/ countries, became my mandate since I started working at the social services with the Chinese community.
