Shié Kasai is a visual artist born in Sapporo Japan, lives in Montréal since 1998. She holds a BA from Hokkaido University of Education in Sapporo and a MFA from Concordia University in Montréal. She majored in sculpture. Her site-specific installation projects reflect on her personal issues and everyday situations. For living she worked as a medical illustrator at McGill University from 2002 to 2015. She has presented exhibitions in Japan, the Netherlands, France, Finland and Canada.
