Dora Nipp comes from a family that helped to build the Canadian Pacific Railway and paid the Head Tax. She is the first recipient of the University of Toronto’s Chinese Canadian History Fellowship. As a historian Dora has written and produced various works on Canada’s Chinese communities including directing the National Film Board of Canada’s “Under the Willow Tree” a documentary on pioneer Chinese women in Canada. | |||
