Lisa Mar is an author, educator, and leader in Chinese Canadian studies and Asian Canadian studies. She is the author of award-winning book, Brokering Belonging: Chinese in Canada's Exclusion Act, 1889-1945. She is an associate professor of history at the University of Toronto. She is also the Richard Charles Lee Chair in Chinese Canadian studies.

She is the author of award-winning book, Brokering Belonging: Chinese in Canada's Exclusion Act, 1889-1945. She is an associate professor of history at the University of Toronto.
