CASTYO was established in 1993. It is a non-profit making organization, affiliated with The Chinese Artists Society of Toronto. At present, the Youth Orchestra has over 50 members.

The Orchestra’s ambition is to nurture young musicians with orchestral practice and performance. By participating in regular practice, rehearsal and public performances, members are able to polish their practical skills and to familiarize themselves with group performance. Ultimately, the Orchestra aims to provide members with incentive and recognition in their pursuit of the art of musical performance.

In addition to regular practice, the Orchestra provides members with a wide range of activities, like festive parties, visits to geriatric centers and performances in various concerts. It is certain that such activities can enrich members’ lives, enhance their community involvement, and enriching their future development. Template:Url http://castyo.webs.com/
