Ruth Lor Malloy







Ruth Lor Malloy is a travel writer and activist. In the 1950s, she worked with Toronto’s Joint Labour Committee on Human Rights to fight reluctance of restaurant owners in Dresden, Ontario to serve Black customers. She has published over a dozen editions of a guide book for foreigners visiting China, and published a booklet helping people respect transgender people (Hijras) in India. She has serve as a volunteer at workcamps in Mexico, Japan, and the Canadian Arctic.
