Sky Lee was born in Port Alberni, British Columbia. She is a Canadian artist and novelist and has published both feminist fiction and non-fiction. She is the author of Bellydancer and Disappearing Moon Cafe, a 1990 finalist for the Governor General's Award and winner of the Vancouver Book Prize. She is co-editor of Telling It: Women and Language Across Cultures and illustrator of Paul Yee's children's book, Teach Me How To Fly, Skyfighter.
