Anne-Marie Samarasinghe is Sri Lankan by birth, but she lived in Africa for 3 1/2 years as a teen, but most of her life has been spent in Canada.


EDUCATION: She has a Business Administration Certificate from Keyano College; Certificate re. Biblical Studies from Living Faith Bible College in Caroline Alberta (now named Clearwater College); Interior Design courses at BCIT; Royal Conservatory Grade 7 singing with Honors. Royal Conservatory theory and history exams; Douglas College Basic Musicianship Certificate and General Studies diploma maj Music; Bachelor of Arts major Music, minor Psychology from University of British Columbia; Search program at the Alliance for Arts and Culture; and Self Employment Program at Towards Excellence Inc (Intake 12)

Anne-Marie is a past newspaper article writer, published author & researcher/independent scholar (membership in Canadian Academy of Independent Scholars affiliated with Simon Fraser University in BC - where she received research grants; and a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland), advocate, public speaker, occasional music teacher, Christian missionary, community organizer, genealogist, political volunteer/activist, and pioneer of many projects. She also fought government and human rights battles on behalf of others.
