Free text: Hossein Sharang est né à Jiroft (Iran). Il a quitté l'Iran en 1982 et vit à Montréal depuis plus de 25 ans. Il a publié plusieurs recueils de poèmes en Iran, en Allemagne, en Suède ainsi qu'au Québec, dont Montagnes fugitives aux Éditions du Noroît, Montréal (traduction de Gilles Cyr et Bahman Sadighi, 2003). Ses poèmes ont paru dans divers périodiques en Iran, en Europe ainsi qu'en Amérique du Nord, et ils ont été traduits en quatre langues.
