Free text: UACSSA (Chinese Students and Scholars’ Association at the University of Alberta) is an officially registered, non-profit, non-political, social organization of Chinese students and scholars in University of Alberta, Edmonton,Alberta, Canada. ==What is the general goals of CSSA?== To represent Chinese students and scholars to express their wishes and to protect their entitled rights and legal interests; To help newly arrived students and scholars settle in and adapt to the new cultural environment; To coordinate and organize entertaining activities such as sports, movie, party, various traditional performances, and other scientific and cultural events. To promote friendship among students and scholars from China, Canada, and other countries and establish friendship with other Chinese and Canadian organizations. ==Who can?== Any Chinese or Chinese Canadian student and scholar, including his/her family who are studying or working at the University of Alberta, or have ever worked or been educated at the University of Alberta, or presently work and reside in Edmonton are welcome to join CSSA. Currently, CSSA has more than 800 members, which is 80% of the number of Chinese students and scholars in Edmonton. To enhance communication among our members, CSSA maintains a group email list.
