Marline Yan is a Cambodian-Canadian actress and singer who may be best known as her role in How To Be Indie.

Marline Yan was born on the January 9, 1993 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada. Her mother is of Cambodian, Indian and Vietnamese descent, and her father is of Cambodian, Thai and Chinese descent.

She started acting and singing when she was ten, being in shows from local theatre companies. In her first year of high school at John Paul II Secondary Catholic School, in London, Ontario, she was casted as the leading role in a production of Romeo and Juliet. She was first signed on to an agency at the age fourteen and a year later was casted for the role of Abi in the YTV series How To Be Indie. Later that year, she appeared as Sophia in the successful Family Channel series Connor Undercover.

In 2010 she was casted a minor two episode role for Wingin' It, a children's series which also starred her How to Be Indie co-star Dylan Everett. She most recently completed a television film titled Made...The Movie and casted for a upcoming film 'Trigger'.

She filmed a second series of How To Be Indie, which premiered in fall 2010.
