Vietnamese Canadian Community of Ottawa

The Vietnamese Canadian Community of Ottawa (VCCO) is a not-for-profit organization that is completely run by volunteers. We have been established since 2003 and have incorporated as a not-for-profit organization in November of 2009. Each year, the VCCO organizes and offers a variety of programs, activities and events to serve members of the community within the National Capital Region.

Governance[edit]

VCCO is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, whose members are elected

Objectives[edit]

  1. To plan and organize cultural, health, and educational programs and activities for people of all ages within the community in the National Capital Region
  2. To promote a better understanding of Vietnamese culture and heritage
  3. To liaise between the Vietnamese community and other ethnic or cultural communities
  4. To provide leadership and learning opportunities for youth

  • To increase the diversity of events and activities within the Ottawa community
  • To promote and deliver health and fitness programs
  • To develop volunteer and leadership capacity
